The original description for this photo reads: "According
to Shirley Gentry Humble the photo at left belonged to her grandmother.
Written on the back of the photo is "Aunt Sarah Hunt". There is a Sarah
Hunt buried in the Galena Cemetery b.April 1854, d. Feb, 1935. Shirley
is not certain of her relationship to the Gentry or Fateley family (if
any). If you can identify the lady in the photograph please contact
Shirley
Gentry Humble ."
!!! MYSTERY SOLVED !!!
According to Shirley the mystery has been solved, "Thanks
to research sent to me by Pam Geisler Smith. Anna Anderson, a sister
to my great grandmother, Sarah Anderson Gentry, wife of Allen Gentry Jr.,
married Joseph Watson of Missouri and one of their children was Sarah J.
Watson and she married Abram Allen Hunt (of the Squire Hunt family) on
2 Jun 1867. Therefore, she was an Aunt of my grandparents, William and
Nettie Gentry." The lady in the picture is Sarah J. Watson
Hunt. Mystery solved April 26, 2005.
