The tombstone of Elizabeth reads: 20 March 1820 - 10 May 1875, but
she was still living in 1877.
She was daughter of Samuel and Mary McKensie Anderson. Married about 1846 in Taney County to David Gentry born 1828 in Tennessee, and may have been married previously. Children by David Gentry: Milly Jane Gentry born about 1847; Allen Leander Gentry born 10 November, 1849; Elizabeth Ellen Gentry born 11 August, 1851; and Margaret Nancy Gentry born 25 December, 1855. After David Gentry died about 1856-1858, Elizabeth was married in 1859
to neighbor, James Mathis and they moved to Douglas County, Missouri.
