Burton Preston Carney was born May 11, 1838, died April 2, 1916.  He was the son of  Calvin and Clarissa (Hill) Carney. He married  Telitha Henson February 7, 1858. She was born September 21, 1841, died April 8, 1901. Telitha was the daughter of  Zachariah & Amala (Williams) Henson. Their children include: Lafeyette, George C., Walter, Thomas, Charles Henry, Albertine, Miranda Jane, Clarrisa Caldonia, James B., and Calvin Carney.
