Seated is Clara Melton Taylor (1865-1919) wife of John Marshall Taylor and grandmother of Ruth Asher. Clara was the daughter of Elisha Jefferson Melton & Susan Overstreet.
John Marshall Taylor (1862-1940) son of Valentine Taylor and Angeline Tapp. Grandfather to Ruth Asher.
Mable Ellis (little girl) daughter of Bessie Gertrude Taylor and her first husband, William Ellis.
Maynard Taylor son of John Marshall Taylor and Clara Melton.
According to Jean Yelton,
"The lady on the far right which is Susan Antionette Taylor, nickname "Tona"....and
the lady behind her(one step up) is Minnie Berry, wife of Elisha
Melton Taylor who happened to be taking the picture of the family. Susan
Antionette is my grandmother, the daughter of John Marshall Taylor and
Clara Melton."
