James O. Melton, Cape Fair Mo.  James O. Melton  was the son of  John C. and Alice E. (Haynes) Melton. His brother, Oran Melton was a river guide who had three camps where he allowed fishermen to drive in and camp. Boats were rented out during the day to fishermen. It's unknown if these boaters are local folk or tourists.
