Seated on the porch is David Taylor born Dec. 15, 1837, in Franklin County, TN. Standing behind him is Elizabeth Jane Taylor nee Ferguson, born April 1836, in  TN. They were married in Jasper County, MO. in 1853 and settled in Stone County, and raised 7 children , they were one of the Old Pioneer families of Stone County. 

The children in the photo must be some of there children or grandchildren. They only had one daughter, Mary Ellen. One son, James William Taylor married and had a family.  The other boys were bachelors.
