Malin Braly, great-granddaughter of John H. Estes. According
to Nancy the family history of the photo is that John was born with
a clubbed foot, and stood in the back of a group being sworn in during
the Civil War.
When it came time to apply for a Civil War pension John
had his picture taken with the exposed foot to send along with his application.
