John Wesley Davis was born July 28, 1845 and died in 1895.  He is the son of Clemuel Davis and Martha Priestley.  John W. Davis married Alcey/Ailcey Catherine Melton on September 22, 1867.  She was born February 7, 1854 and died November. 16, 1931.  She is the daughter of John Melton and Sarah Henson.
