The following letter dated December 4, 1892 was written by Sintha Stone to her cousin Richard Fraker who resided in Dallas County, Missouri. Sintha Stone (1847-1897) is the daughter of Valentine Taylor and Susan Fraker. She married Eusibus Stone(1846-1917), son of Elijah Stone and Martha Mooney in 1865.

LETTER FROM SINTHIA STONE TO RICHARD R. AND JANE FRAKER

Flat Creek, Barry Co., MO December the 4th 1892
Dear Cousin, i seat my self to write you a few lies to let you know we are all well and hope these few lines will find you all well. well richard we sure would like to see you all i want you to rite to us times is hard and money is scarce we had a good crop this year well richard jane is married she married william edwards she has two children and billie is married he married mattie pyratt i have three boys and two girls yet still i would like to see you all i want you to all come and see us i would like to come out next faul if i could but i dont know how it will be well richard come down next faul and we will catch all the fish you can eat if you like them they people has catched a fine lot of fish this faul tell Wash and lind to rie to us i thought they was all dead we couldent here from them i have rote to several and couldent get any answer i would like to see them all i want you and jane to rite to us how times is out there and how many children you have got and there names i would like to see all the children my children that at home is going to school all but one he is to young my oldest girl that is at home is named sarah and the oldest boy is named george and the next is named john and the next is named lizzie and the baby is named benjaman he is five years old rite soon i will close for this time from Sintha Stone and family to richard fraker and jane. _____ Stone said bye. written by sarah. addres flat Creek Barry Co.
